(Revised for Lord of the Rings: Shadows of Angmar)

We are an equal opportunity Guild. We do not hold prejudice against race or class. All levels and classes encouraged to apply. (We even accept Hobbitsies!) We base our decision on strength of game play, communication skills, and ease of compatibility within the Guild. We need friendly, helpful recruits! There will be a Trial Period for all recruits.

Here are a few of our base rules. All members of the guild are subject to dismissal for abuse of these rules at any time and separate rules will be given for Raiding situations.

Justice - 1) We allow others a fair looting system, when grouped. When given the option in a group to roll Need or Greed members should only roll Need on items needed by the character that they are CURRENTLY playing unless otherwise previously discussed and okayed by other members of the Fellowship. Loot will always be Need Before Greed with Logic (i.e some items are better for certain classes).
2) We do not prejudge based on others conception of players for groups. This means that if someone else bad mouths a newcomer to the group, we may use the words as a guideline to watch for poor playmanship, but should allow a fair opportunity for others to form their own opinions. Personalities clash, and may not be the case in a new set of players. These new players might help you with your Epic quests someday.

Integrity - 1) When not around guildmates, this does not allow an opportunity to curse, shout obscenities or make rude comments in public chat channels. Remember that you have a Kin Tag attached to your name and that what you do relects on the ENTIRE Kinship.
2)
We shall always strive to recruit others into our Guild. Just because you may not be an officer, does not mean you cannot try to recruit others who have shown a strength of character and good playmanship.
3)
If we are blamed for actions even though we might be in the right, it is best to just apologize and move on. Silly trivial loot is gained fast, and better loot will always lie ahead as levels increase. Leave creating Drama to other people! Be the bigger person and just walk away.
4) This is NOT a revolving door guild and thus we will not tolerate repeated guild switching when you feel that you can gain more from another guild and then come back when its usefulness has expired. Exceptions will be made only by allowing the populous of the guild to vote whether or not to readmit you.

Truth - As this topic may suggest, we do not lie, or lead others to believe what is untrue. This includes trickery, deception.

Spirituality - 1) As in real life, sexual comments, severe use of foul language, or drug issues etc may be offensive to some members. When in doubt, avoid topics of conversation relating to sexuality, religion, politics and/or race. At this time we do consider ourselves to be a Mature rated guild for Adult Language and the occasional Suggestive Dialog; however, none of these things in the extremes will be tolerated.
2) We do not advertise other guilds. This guild does not care how 'uber' or 'awesome' another guild might be. This destroys morale and the spirituality of this guild. If you are unhappy with this guild, or are afraid of the hard work it takes to make a guild great, then it is best you not join, or leave. I am sure you will be happier in a guild, where you are just a number, and who's opinion and ideals do not matter. Destroying morale is never a good thing.
3) Guildchat is not a tool for auctions. Auctions in guildchat for sake of personal gain are in poor taste. It may be used to auction only items sold at very cheap prices, or to be given away. All other auctions shall be conducted on the message board, or in zones permitting the /auction command.

Loyalty - Choosing a guildmate over a non-guildmate is essential for guild unity and growth. This will help with integrity. This does not mean kicking a non-guildmate out of group, or necessarily leaving the group to join a guildmate. As new group positions open, these should be filled first by guildmates whenever the opportunity arises.

Valor - Tanks especially. This is your job to die for the group when needed. Any class may actually sacrifice themselves for the good of the group. Just get aggro and allow others ample time to flee. In all instances, the Healers (those capable of Rezzing) are the classes that should be allowed to survive first and foremost. This guideline does not consider duels, as duels are considered rather silly. (Even if they are fun. =P)

Compassion - If we see others in need of help with mobs, we will strive to help. This does not suggest that a level 10 go take on level 35s because some level 20 player pulled 6 of them. If we see a downed player, and can perform resurrection, it is highly suggested that we make an attempt to revive this player. This does not suggest we do so when healing our own group, but should be done so as soon as a reasonable opportunity allows, as with mana. Play smart, play well.

Honor - 1) Try to avoid creating Drama!!
2) Please make an effort not to bring drama into guildchat concerning problems with other guildmates. Any issues not able to be resolved in tells, should be brought to the attention of an Officer for resolution, or be put on hold until a Leader becomes available.
3) There will be NO open Flaming. If you have a problem with a member of another guild or group politely ask that they stop the offensive action. If said person refuses to stop notify them that you will contact their guild and/or a GM. At this point contact a guild officer if one is available and ask their opinion. An officer or yourself, if no officer is available, should carry through with contacting the offender's guild and/or a GM if necessary and remember to notify guild members via the message board. NO member of the guild shall reply to a Flame on any message boards, this will be the sole responsibility of the guild Leader or appointed Officer!
4) There will be no whining in this guild! As in life things will not always go your way, be happy for the person who has a good day even if you're having a bad one.
5) We do not ask for free stuff from guildmates or from others. It is annoying, and in very poor taste.
6) We do not ask for power levels. This weakens a guild, as people find it annoying. Understand that other members/players have their own agenda to attend, and getting experience at level 40 is a bit harder than at level 12. Many members will OFFER to PL you therefore it is not necessary to demand it.
