April NYC91 Hello, I'm April, a gorgeous meezer mix girl with a beautiful white coat! I'm a very sweet cuddler, looking for a warm lap. You know I'm friendly because the folks who brought me to the pound had just happened upon me in their apartmenthouse lobby. I'm a svelte 8 pounds, just 3 years old, with dreamy aquamarine eyes, and a shameless lover of human attention! And I'm adoring life in my new home in Connecticut!

Chowder NYC92 Warm up to a cup of me! I'm Chowder, an amazing polydactal buff-colored Himilayan! I am absolutely the sweetest, gentlest big boy with the fluffiest coat you'd ever want to know: holding me is like sinking into a featherbed! Couldn't you use a warm, fluffy, comforter with built-in heat? Well, you'll have to get your own because I've gone off to my new home! <I> --- Sometimes Siamese surprise us in their resourcefulness to convince their new owners they've found the right cat: Chowder's new humans said straight off that they couldn't take him because he wouldn't fit in their carrier, so Chowder proceeded to walk straight into the carrier and lay down, exiting only to rub against their legs before re-entering the carrier. When his new mom commented that it looked like a pretty tight fit, and Chowder proceeded to turn circles inside the carrier -- TWICE! There's a message!

Bashful NYC93 Gosh, they say I'm Bashful, but really only at first! I'm a very pretty snowshoe girl who loves being held and looking into your eyes for long moments with my large doe-eyes! I also really enjoy hunting birdies out the window. The folks who turned me into the pound said I was an adult, but I'm tiny and skinny, like an underfed kitten. That will soon change, because I just found my appetite, and I'm diving into everything my foster mom offers me! I've rapidly gained my full health and weight, and I'm ready to come home with you!

Sabbath NYC94 Shalom, I'm Sabbath, a lovely tuxedo kitten with a Siamese personality! I'm vocal and VERY playful and active, and I adore cuddling with humans! My personality is so much like Felix's, I could be his little sister! Felix NYC084 already went to a wonderful home and I really want one, too. I'm named Sabbath because I was found outside a temple on the sabbath. Wouldn't you like a kitty who knows to be in the right place at the right time?

Ivan NYC95 Here's Ivan the unflappable! This is not a Siamese but a Russian Blue boy takes everyone and everything in stride, be it strange human, feline, or canine. Nothing bothers this placid fellow, who conducts himself with such dignity that strangers would never guess how much he craves human affection and a warm lap! He is brother to Janessa (NYC083), and very human-oriented like a meezer, following you everywhere, leaping onto your lap, talking up a storm, and snuggling against you whenever you'll allow, lying nearby when you will not! He's anxious to be a best friend to a human, and would be happy with feline and canine room-mates, too. He is also very gentle, as is characteristic of the breed, but he needs a special diet for his food allergies.

Blue NYC96 Blue is named for the extremely kind pair of NYPD police officers who found him on the streets of Brooklyn struggling to breathe. He had been left with a tiny kitten collar on his neck from when he was adopted from North Shore Animal League, which had to be about 6 months back. Poor Blue could barely breathe, couldn't swallow or eat, so this pitiful baby was in dire straits indeed when the 'boys in blue' came to his rescue, cutting the collar from his neck and giving him some good meals. They rescued him again by taking Blue off the streets and seeking our help in finding this brave boy a good home. Can you make Blue's story a completely happy ending? Someone already has - isn't that wonderful?!

Spider NYC97 Spider is another incredibly lucky kitty! He was abandoned outside, but managed to find his way to a feral cat colony managed by a volunteer for German Shepard Rescue. This savvy rescuer knew at once that Spider was a purebred seal snowshoe, and she managed to catch him, contacting us. Spider got his name from when he first came inside, when he was so frightened he actually ran up the screen door just like a spider! Although Spider is a bit shy, he's very gentle, well-mannered, placid with other cats and DOGS, even big German Shepards. And he's barely a year old! This lucky fellow has crawled right into a wonderful new home!

SnowWhite NYC98 Snow White is an absolutely sweet girl who is just that: the purest white with lovely blue eyes. This pretty baby was seized by Animal Control when her former owners were evicted from their apartment. Snow White is looking for a Prince Charming with a fondness for Meezer Blue eyes. She is very affectionate and adores belly rubs! And Snow White has gone off to her princely castle overlooking Sheepshead Bay!

Linus NYC99 Linus is a lovely blue snowshoe who was rescued from the Manhattan pound. This big handsome boy is a playful as a bear and cuddly as a teddy! This poor guy was adopted by his former owners from North Shore Animal League, and they turned him into the city pound for being disobedient! To look at this sweet lug, you could never believe such a claim! He seems very friendly towards both humans and other cats, so he would be a welcome addition to almost any home. And he already is!

Heddy NYC100 Hello, I'm Heddy! I'm a pretty flamepoint girl who was rescued from the Brooklyn pound, where I had been turned in as a stray. I'm no street cat! I'm way too friendly! I was so sick from a nasty cold when I first came here that I didn't eat for several days. Please come see me when I'm better; I'm nearly better now!....Heddy is fully recovered and living in her new home with Pietra!
