Course
Description:
ITSC
1309 is an introduction to the microcomputer and microcomputer software
packages. The course will cover the general use of computers and the specific
applications of operating systems, word processors, electronic spreadsheet
programs, and database management software. This course is designed to achieve
a "working knowledge" of microcomputer hardware, software, and disk
operating system software.
IMPORTANT--It is the responsibility of the student to
insure a stable and reliable Internet connection. This is extremely important during testing,
since you will not be allowed to re-enter the testing area once you exit.
Whether you exit by logging off or your ISP severs your connection is
irrelevant, the system will not allow you back in the testing area. If you are
unsure about your connection, you may use the computer lab on campus for
testing. Once you have been issued your password for a test, any computer with
an Internet connection may be used for testing.
